Katze Pipi
No worms in here, but maybe a little devil?

Making of ...

Or, ... to be kissed by the muse …

When I created this collection, I was inspired by so many influences. The design always changed somewhat from the outset and continually developed - depending on the current muse.

One night as I decorated my kitchen wall with ornamental motifs, I was closely watched by my very interested and small black cat that is also quite the character. I thought that this small creature also has a small (albeit lovable) devil in him. (The reasons why I thought that about her, I unfortunately cannot disclose here as I gave her my word...)

In any case, out of this inspiration, this cat, whose name is Pipi, was granted a very honorable position in the collection. To make Pipi’s interior visible from the outside, I've bestowed her with a little devil’s tail...

Eventually, the drafts were completed and went into production. One day I received the first prototype and laid it on the floor to give it my assessment. My cat Pipi was promptly on the scene and sat herself next to the cloth to apparently also take a look at it. As I talked with my assistant, Pipi suddenly got up and walked purposefully to the exact spot where the figure of the cat is pictured on the fabric. She sat down unquestioningly on the spot and proudly began to groom herself. As if to underline the fact that yes, it is clear that this is HER and nobody else ...

If you had asked her to sit there she would have never done it.

My assistant and I were more than blown away! We exchanged glances in amazement...

In the truest sense of the word: "The devil is in the details"!
